Personnel biographies

John brings a wealth of construction and contractual experience gained over 13 years within the civil engineering and construction industry in both Europe and Asia. John has been involved in all sides of the construction industry including general (involving mechanical, electrical and civil), petrochemical and nuclear in both contractor and owner consultancy capacities, from inception to completion.

A Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Arbitrator, in 2001, John joined Braemar Steege in Singapore utilising his core construction experience to handle property, construction and consequential loss claims throughout the Asia Pacific region. Having completed a three year secondment to Braemar Steege' London office, John returned to Singapore in 2007 and was appointed as a Director. John is heavily involved in losses across the region, with a focus on BAR / CAR.

Jon spent 6 years working for Commercial Union within the Institute of London Underwriters (ILU) as a claims adjuster, handling various Hull and Machinery, Cargo and Liability insurance claims before leaving to obtain a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Maritime Studies at Southampton. In 1998 Jon joined the Energy Loss Adjusting profession in London handling various claims for major oil companies and contractors within Europe, Africa and South America.

Since 2000, Jon has been based in Singapore, where he has handled major Energy and Marine claims arising from incidents throughout South East Asia and Australasia. In January 2005, Jon joined Braemar Steege as a Senior Adjuster where he continues to utilise his knowledge and experience gained in the areas of onshore and offshore construction and Operational claims, with particular focus in Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. Jon has recently been promoted to the role of Principal Adjuster.

Allan graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Progressing from his core discipline, he moved into Project Management working primarily on construction contracts within the Clyde Naval Base, Scotland.

Joining Braemar Steege, Singapore, in November 2009, Allan's Civil Engineering and project exposure is greatly assisting and strengthening the handling of both onshore and offshore construction claims.

Roger joined BP as a drilling engineer in Aberdeen in 1988, where he worked as a wellsite engineer / assistant drilling supervisor on exploration and production drilling operations, including deep water operations west of the Shetland Isles. Following this, Roger transferred to BP's Drilling Technology Division in London, where he was involved in a diverse array of drilling-related projects. In his six years with BP, Roger gained direct experience of well control problems in both the North Sea and SE Asia.

In 1994 Roger entered the loss adjusting profession. While specialising in well control, drilling rig and equipment claims, Roger has also handled a broad spectrum of other energy related claims. Roger has also been appointed to undertake risk assessment, valuation and expert witness work in the energy field in various parts of the world.

In 1999, Roger was appointed Managing Director of Braemar Steege, Singapore and is responsible for all operations in Asia and Australasia. During his running of the Operation, Braemar Steege has grown significantly in terms of both professional staff employed and complexity and size of claim handled. Roger has a First Class Honours degree in Mining Engineering, is Dip CII (Claims) qualified and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

In 1992 Lynette received a degree in Accounting and worked in management within a large international corporation. She subsequently received an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2002, and joined Halliburton Energy Services as a fracturing (frac) engineer. Joining Braemar Steege Houston, in 2005, Lynette adds accounting, engineering and field experience to the office.

Lynette has gained both offshore and onshore experience handling Hurricane claims in the Gulf of Mexico. During this time she also handled construction, well control, and refinery operational claims. Lynette has recently moved to the Singapore office as a Senior Adjuster, applying her diverse experience on both construction and well control claims across the region.

A Bachelor of Engineering, Peter joined Steege, Singapore in early 2008 as an Adjuster. Peter brings a wide range of engineering experience gained over 14 years within various engineering industries in both Europe and Asia. Peter has been involved in many engineering aspects including design, production, manufacturing, construction and systems from inception through to completion, including maintenance & defects and warranties.

Since joining Braemar Steege, Peter has been heavily involved in shipyard and offshore construction projects, which utilises his strong engineering background.
