Jaime Talbot has a broad experience gained over nearly 20 years insurance and adjusting property, energy, casualty and business interruption claims. Jaime's wider experience includes time serving in the forces and work as a specialist security consultant in hostile environment's including Latina America, Africa and the Middle East. Jaime has handled complex construction risk, property and subsequent loss claims throughout the world, and has previously lived and worked in Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil Spain and Portugal. Jaime returned to Brazil in 2010 to open our new office in Rio de Janeiro where we are steadily developing our reputation for expert handling of complex property, casualty, energy and other insurance claims.
Jaime was born in Portugal was educated in the Great Britain and the United States and speaks six languages, he is married and has four children who are all moving to Brazil in 2011.

Jorge Méndez completed his degree in Automation and Control Engineering in 2002 with specialty in process control; he took a specialization course in Automatic Control for Industrial Solutions. He also has knowledge in measurement and control instruments, pneumatic, electricity and dynamic equipment. He joined Braemar Steege in 2003, forming part of the core engineering staff, since then Jorge has had adjusted losses in the energy division with a focus on physical damage (platforms, pipelines, petrochemical plants, plants of gas), well control and pollution claims. He has also been key to adjusting claims relating to instrumentation, static, electric and mechanical equipment.
He has previously worked at Braemar Steege's London office and has gained further adjusting experience in the London as well as throughout Central and South America as well as the United States market. Jorge is a highly regarded senior adjuster working across a range of disciplines including energy, property and marine claims. Jorge speaks fluent English and Spanish as well as Portuguese. Jorge is married and has a young family.

Lizbeth is a fully qualified Actuary with a Master's Degree in Loss and Adjustment from Universidad Marista in Mexico City, Liz has extensive property damage experience as well as experience across all classes of business. Liz is widely known for her work on risk management and loss prevention including academic studies in the field of loss prevention analysis and consultation throughout industry. Liz is also a specialist in value determination for property insurance and insurance consultancy. Liz joined Braemar Steege in 2008 in Mexico and moved to Brazil in 2010 as a senior adjuster. Liz speaks fluent Spanish and English and is currently learning Portuguese.

Érico Lima has recently retired from the Brazilian Navy where he served for nearly 30 years attaining the rank of senior Captain, having commanded his own his ships. He has worked as a senior staff officer and taught at the world renowned Brazilian Navy Naval War College.
Érico's career has seen service in Hydrography and Oceanography, Combat diving and Salvage, Submarine operations including several long tours of duty abroad, and postings as executive officer aboard a submarine rescue vessel and Naval Salvage vessels. Latterly Érico has been involved increasingly with complex salvage operations in both civilian and naval roles including the Petrobrás Oil Platform P36 that sank following a series of explosions aboard in 2001, where he commanded salvage operations from a Naval salvage vessel.
Since retiring from the navy in early 2010 Érico has worked as a salvage master and marine consultant, including the successful re-floating of M/V Hellenic Sea that floundered in the Amazon River among others.
Érico is one of the most senior naval officers to join the private sector in recent times he has a wealth of experience in survey, salvage, underwater operations, commissioning and commanding vessels, he has consistent track record of overcoming difficult scenarios and producing excellent results, he also has experience and detailed knowledge of Oil and Gas operations and systems. Érico speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish and English is married and lives in Rio de Janeiro and concluding a law degree.

Rodrigo Cabral, studied business administration at the prestigious UniverCidade in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, before embarking on a career in the Insurance industry with AON Benfield where Rodrigo was involved in claims handling and client facing liaison. Rodrigo's experience covers most classes of property and casualty insurance including global programs and complex energy losses with a focus on the Pre-Salt layer and in the offshore construction industry. Rodrigo joined Braemar Steege in 2011 and has gained wide exposure to the offshore energy market and is involved in adjusting losses predominantly in Brazilian written business as well as assisting our senior team with complex energy claims. Rodrigo speaks and writes English, and runs his own portfolio including D&O, Surety, Marine and Property losses. Rodrigo has completed the HUET course and travels extensively throughout Brazil and beyond.
Joyce Trindade was born in Rio de Janeiro and educated to degree level in company administration and later specialised in workplace security and safety and is a qualified off-shore radiographer with considerable experience in off shore construction projects. Joyce returned to work in 2011 having raised a family and continues a family tradition of work in the off shore energy business bringing her two careers together as a junior adjuster with Braemar Steege in Brazil, where she is involved work on energy, engineering and construction losses, as well as assisting with our more general portfolio . Joyce is a confident English Speaker and is currently learning Spanish.
Rita Valente's career started in FIRJAN, the federation of Rio de Janeiro industry, where she was a consultant involved extensively working in the International department helping multinationals' investing in the State of Rio de Janeiro especially within the construction and manufacturing industries. Before joining Braemar Steege Rita was involved with a special select group that looked at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic construction and engineering projects and gained valuable experience of their intricacies which have proven to be a valuable base for her career as an adjuster. Rita also has very considerable commercial experience and assists our office with marketing. Rita has a first class honors degree in publicity and marketing and since joining has been involved in assisting Property and Construction and Engineering losses for the local market as a junior adjuster. Rita is currently studying English and travels throughout Brazil regularly on business.
