Ray's experience spans 40 years in engineering, the majority of which has been involved with the management and engineering of major offshore developments. Ray originally graduated in Civil Engineering and after a few years in industry returned to university to specialise, completing a doctorate in structural engineering. He is a chartered engineer, being a member of both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers.
Ray furthered his career in the Oil and Gas industry, establishing an impressive engineering record, including the Engineering Manager position with both John Brown Offshore Structures (JBOS) and Earl & Wright. He was responsible for concept development, detail design, construction and installation of many offshore installations worldwide, before going on to manage several major projects. Ray has demonstrated an ability to combine his engineering and management expertise to achieve exceptional results with no compromise on safety.
